It’s been a while – but there has been good reason! The past few months have been incredibly busy with public speaking engagements ranging from talks at breakfast seminars to participation in speaking contests across the country. Great times!
So what’s coming up next?
May will see me speaking at a conference and compering a contest for Young Entrepreneurs in Hampshire.
On May 25th I am the opening speaker at SotonDigital, a conference in Winchester for local digital-types. The big challenge with this talk is that I will have an audience of both technical and non-technical types. My talk content has to be accessible and interesting for both parties, as well as adding value. I’ll report back on how I get on with this in the coming weeks.

Just before SotonDigital, on the 16th May I will be the compere at the Hampshire finals for Young Enterprise. Held at the new Ordnance Survey offices in Southampton, the contest will see school pupils from across the county present on the Young Enterprise business ventures that they have been setting-up and running over the course of the past year.
I was lucky enough to speak at the local finals of this competition on entrepreneurship and my experiences with Rich Public Speaking and I was delighted to find that the confidence and speaking skills of the young people present put the speaking skills of many people twice their age firmly in the shade!
The standard at the County final should be even higher. I’m looking forward to the evening and again, I will report back on the young entrepreneurs’ performances in due course!
